My name is Maria Taschuk, the owner of Airam Farms…

Airam Farms was started in 2015 but our passion for the cattle industry started many years before that. The land we are on was homesteaded in 1906 by my great-grandfather, and I am now the fourth generation to raise cattle here. Previous to showing cattle at larger junior and open shows I was in 4-H, which had a huge role in my passion for the agriculture industry. I have had so many role models and people that have inspired me to be who I am and to become a better young cattleman. In 2004 my dad had given me my first commercial cow, and I built myself a moderately sized herd. Being able to build my herd to the size it is has shown family and friends my passion for the cattle industry. Having everyone around me to help me with my animals and see my achievements has inspired me to continue to stay in the industry.

I am currently in my second year in Animal Science at the University of Saskatchewan and am excited to see what the future holds and the career I can build for myself.
